Ashley and Melanie had the opportunity to meet with the offices of Wisconsin Senators Ron Johnson and Tammy Baldwin, as well as Congressmen Tom Tiffany—who represents most of CESA 11’s service area—and Derrick Van Orden, who represents Dunn, Pepin, and Chippewa counties. During their trip, they also connected with office staffers who work closely with the representatives and had the chance to speak directly with Senator Baldwin.
Through staff and families of Cesa #11 Head Start, we were able to share powerful parent testimonials, artwork, and data that highlight the incredible impact of our program. It's important to note that the voices of Head Start staff, families, and alumni are heard year-round, not just on Advocacy Day. Our recruitment and advocacy efforts are ongoing.
